Competitions

Competitions are great way of developing your skills on the job while dealing with elevated levels of pressure. This gives you the opportunity the showcase your skills against your peers, both at college and oversees from our partner colleges in the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and France.

Pan Island Skills Competition:
The Pan Island Skills Competition takes place as part of National Apprenticeships Week. This event sees Jersey Apprentices face off with those from Guernsey and the Isle of Man.  The apprentices will compete in six vocational areas: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, welding & fabrication, trowel trades and painting & decorating.

Apprenticeship Awards

All Highlands College Apprentices have the opportunity be nominated by a staff member to the Highalnds College Apprenticeship Awards. These awards are decided by the tutors and winners are invited up to the college for a ceremony. With support from our Industry partners, awards winners won't only win a trophy but also receive a prize, donated by a company working in their area.
